THOMAS JAMES

Thomas James is a country/southern gospel artist that hails from
Northeast Ohio.

Thomas has literally been singing since he was old enough to walk
and talk.    At a very young age Thomas starting singing in a family
group.   Since then it has been non-stop for him.

"If there is anything in life that gives me great pleasure, it's being able
to sing. Above that, it's being able to bless and touch hearts and lives
while you're singing." says Thomas.

Singing has lead Thomas James down many roads.   Thomas has had
the pleasure of singing with and meeting some of the best in both
gospel and country music.   He has played at some of the biggest
places. Such as The Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville Palace,
Loretta Lynn's Ranch. He has appeared on numerous television shows
such as TBN, Plus or Minus 60, and GMT.

Thomas James has done   some independent recordings. In 1994
Thomas recorded a country album entitled " Almost" and also a gospel
album entitled "Going Back".    Both were recorded at Harvest Studios
in Streetsboro, Ohio.    In 1996 Thomas signed and recorded a
country album with A.M.I. Records in Hendersonville, Tennessee.    The
album , "Truth In Advertising" would be the one and only album that
Thomas would record with that label.    After some charted airplay on
the independent charts, and after playing the country circuit which
included clubs, Thomas decided to take a break from the music
profession.    " My heart just wasn't in it.   Although I don't regret doing
what I did, I just knew that playing every honky tonk from Northeast
Ohio to West Virginia to Pennsylvania, it just wasn't where my heart
was. I needed a break, and time to recoup and regroup."

After much prayer and many, many hours of just being alone with the
Lord, Thomas knew where his heart wanted to be. Not just where he
wanted to be, but where HE wanted him to be.   " I finally just said, Lord
you know that my heart wants to be out on the road in a silver eagle
somewhere, but this time I want it to be for you."    The Lord gives us
the desire of our hearts!

In November of 2006, Thomas James received a call from Shane
Roark, CEO and president of Church House/Sanctuary Records.
Shane had received a few songs from an online friend, Courtney Eliott,
whom Thomas had met online.    Courtney heard Thomas page on
myspace and asked if he'd mine if she pitched it to Shane.   Hello?
This was the door that Thomas had prayed about to open. God's
timing is always best!

Between December 2006 and January 2007, Thomas went and met
with the record label, and has recorded and finished his first solo
project with a major label.   " In Spite of The Storm" could not have
been a more appropriate name for his debut CD.   God truly blessed
Thomas with some great songs, by some of the greatest songwriters in
southern gospel music today.   "Such as In Spite Of The Storm" written
by gospel legend Ronny Hinson, "Unbelievable" and "Mercy Met
Grace" written by Chris Binion, "His Crown" written by Gerald Crabb, "
Brand New Now" written by Shane Roark, "Holy, Holy" written by
KLinda Barton, and a great rendition of "Homecoming Day" originally
recorded by Heirline.
